Shanghai is a Metropole with more and less 24 million inhabitants. The origin of Shanghai is small communities being big enough to combine themselves forming the city. These centers possess extraordinary networking: services for the citizen or easily for a possible business.
Everyone knows everyone. The community service center in the middle of the community manages the life of the neighborhood and cares about the residents. This is the real Shanghai. People that working for each other and with each other.
OUR SERVICE
These communities are unfortunately more and more di icult to find because the government of China is destroying because it wants to transmit a modern image of an international city to the rest of the world.
A TOUR
The aim of this project is to support this culture and to remember the power that owns some communities like these. A tour through the residential area permits to have a cultural background to the visitors for communicating to the inhabitants.
At the end of the tour, there is the first form of interaction between the visitor and the owners, called “cooking together”. Cooking supports the communication and interaction between the residents of the community and the participants of the tour. Eating connects people, independent from the language, the origin, and the culture. The community is surrounded by many shops which offer any kind of food like fruits, vegetables, meat, and seafood.
SUPPORT
Different devices and technologies like apps and postcards, support the tour and the communication in the service. Essential role will be played from the guide.
